Forgotten Runes Wizard Cult Warriors Guild to be Transformed into 3D Metaverse-Ready Characters

Los Angeles, CA (August 5, 2024) – Magic Machine, Inc., creators of the Forgotten Runes Wizard Cult intellectual property (IP), announces a partnership with GameVision, a leading game art and development vendor, to bring the 15,985 characters of the Forgotten Runes Warrior Guild to life in stunning 3D.

This collaboration will transform the existing 2D characters into fully-rigged and animated, game-ready 3D models. This builds upon the existing collection of 10,000 3D Wizards and 695 Forgotten Souls, providing holders with a diverse roster of characters for use in any online game or metaverse platform.

“We have expanded our 3D character collection with this latest rendition of the Warriors, which compliments our 3D Wizards, bringing the might to the magic,” says Elf J Trul, creator and co-founder of Forgotten Runes Wizard’s Cult. “They are a critical part of our metaverse strategy, allowing our holders to deploy these game rigs into any interoperable 3D meta.”

“Our team of experienced game artists possess the talent and expertise to deliver high-quality 3D models that perfectly complement the existing Warriors Guild NFTs,” said Zhan Ye, CEO of GameVision.

The partnership was facilitated by Marty Caplan of Fabulationary, an innovation atelier. “As a dedicated holder and creator within the Forgotten Runes ecosystem, I believe in realizing the project’s full potential,” said Caplan. “This collaboration between Magic Machine and GameVision aligns perfectly with that vision, ensuring the creation of exceptional models.”

FAB-1 FIRST ART REVEALED

FAB-1 First Art Revealed - Plus overworld location!

The writing team is working away at the manuscript for “Family is Forever” FAB-1! We are at 20,000 out of a goal of 30,000 words and have started editing the locked parts of the text while we finish up the remaining content.

I’ve had an amazing time working with the writers, writing myself, and working with the art team. This project is going to produce something special, a tabletop experience that pours my 40 years of Dungeon Master experience into the creative framework of the Runiverse’s vision from the Magic Machine team. It’ll be a little stranger, a little goofier, and a little sexier than your typical D&D campaign.

Lord Kaggle, who wishes to be immortal. His heirs have other ideas. Original pixel art by The Pixel Shop.

Revealing new art for the first time here, we have the Forgotten Runes Warrior Kaggle Assailant of Muscle Mountain has been “cast” as the key NPC driving the metaplot of the module’s narrative. Because he has hired a Forgotten Runes Wizard named Charmer Circe of the Heath to create an immortality potion for himself so he can continue his rule, his three children have accelerated their plans to inherit the lands that he, as a warlord, has carved out of the trackless wilderness. The PCs are, in turn, hired by the strange and powerful Circe to find the ingredients for the potion in the Kaggle Valley, which holds hundreds of miles of danger, wonder and treasure to be found by brave adventurers!

Much more to come as we reveal locations in the adventure, explore the new game systems of the module and reveal characters, monsters, treasure and their artwork!

The overworld hex locations for FAB-1, set in a coastal region of the Runiverse Map. WIP artwork by FABULATIONARY and MAGIC MACHINE.

FAB-1 Tabletop RPG Project Approved!

We are excited to announce that the Forgotten Runes Wizard Cult DAO membership have voted to approve funding on March 4 2024 for the first module of the Nowhere and Back Again campaign, the first such effort created for the Runiverse! We aim to make a compelling TTRPG PDF product and a composable art collection that has some interesting metadata features that we will reveal soon.

Cheers to everyone who voted and we can’t wait to get started!

What is this project?

The Runiverse is a collectively created world based on the Forgotten Runes Wizard Cult - www.forgottenrunes.com

I have created a collection of tabletop roleplaying games modules for the setting inspired by old school AD&D S-series modules like Tomb of Horrors Expedition to the Barrier Peaks and White Plume Mountain.

Furthermore, the art direction of the project combines the pixel art of the FRWC collection with my love for 16-bit era RPGs on Nintendo, Playstation and other systems, especially tactics-oriented titles like Final Fantasy Tactics.

The writing phase is in progress and will move to editing and layout. In parallel the art team has made new pixel art by hand.
